FAMOUS? • Croatia is not famous for automotive industry • there are no big-series final products (cars) • minor exceptions (manufacturers of buses, special vehicles, tractors, agricultural equipment…) • But… Croatia has well known industrial tradition, skilled workers & engineers and several proven suppliers of quality parts for the European & global OEM’s • a total of 80 companies with 10,000+ employees • mostly small/medium companies (Tier2/3), fewer Tier1 suppliers • specialized mainly in supplying of smaller series, premium brands and prototype producers • even Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes etc.
