  4. Objective of the study • To explore the performance of the building construction contractors • Find out factors affecting their performance • Check the importance of each factor • To provide suggested solutions to high performance and quality

  5. Study Limitations • Building Construction Contractors only • Location of business in Jubail Industrial City • Chose 36 contractor executed between 1982 to 1988 by a Saudi or joint venture firm

Study Conclusion • Big size contractor have higher performance than the small one • Design and construct type of contract have higher contract performance than construct type only • Contracts with change order tend to have a higher contractor performance • Higher monetary value contract have higher contractor performance

  10. Study Recommendation • Contractors Classifications have to be study before awarding contract • Contracts should be clear and straight • More supervision have to be made • Design and construct contracts are recommended for building construction contracts
