GIS status: Draft Guidelines for Bulgaria • Objectives: • Standardized GIS and common procedures for data management • Integrate GIS in management planning and decision-making • Compatibility between different projects • Report according to requirements of the European Commission. Where do we stand – where should we be standing ?- Significant progress over the last year in the Basin Directorates who knows, the report may be ready March 2005! - Intensive work required and Basin Overview must have highest priority- Increased co-ordination of activities – WICU- Reference conditions and classification system must have high priority- GIS investment and training - Organisational development -> the matrix organisation Status WFD Bulgaria
