  3. What makes it a reptile Cold blooded or as other people call it recto therms. Have thick skin to minimize water loss. Reptiles lay eggs have scales and are air breathing.

  5. Diet • Madagascar Tree Boas eats small mammals and birds • they eat when they want • the males eat about once a month from April October • females twice a month year around eat

  6. Madagascar Tree Boa • Average four to five feet in length • Can be up to six to seven feet • Females are longer then males • They are also ovoviviparous

  7. Dangerous or not? • They are non-venomous - Madagascar Tree Boa can be kept in captivity, as it is not venomous.

  8. What you need to know • Madagascar Tree Boas are tough to breed • They have slow metabolisms • Feeding habits are frustrating • They tolerate a wide range of temperatures and humidity
