Catalytic N2O destruction project at the Nitric Acid Plant of AZOTI JSC/Energy Invest JSC, Rustavi The implementation of the project activity will result in an ex-ante estimation of GHG emission reductions of conservatively calculated 160,000 t CO2e per year. Please note - that estimates of GHG emission reductions are made for reference purposes only - actual emission reductions will be determined based on measurement results on ex-post basis.
Emissions reduction in gas distribution network at KazTransGaz LTD enterprise in Tbilisi
Waste Water Treatment Plant – biogas collection from sludge, Chisinau The GHG emission relevant for this project includes: the open release of CH4 from open anaerobic sludge pits;CO2 emissions due to production of electricity by fossil fuels.
Landfill gas capturing at Almaty Landfill, Almaty, Kazakhstan and Astana District Heating leakages reduction in distribution network, Astana, Kazakhstan
“Landfill Gas Capturing and Utilization in Bishkek Estimated annual (2008) CER-s: 76 000 t CO2, Estimated CER-s until 2012: 400 000 t CO2 Estimated CER-s after 2012: 560 000 t CO2 Based on the test pumping results, maximum total expected emission reduction when the plant is in full operation throughout a year is approx. 80.000 tons CO2/year. The plant was expected to be in operation by mid 2007. Total investment need for Stage 1: approx 0,8 mill EUR. The financial situation of the Project proponent would not allow them to finance the project totally. Landfill operator company Meenet-Service has no savings or other free capital, and therefore the investment must be based on the upfront payment for the future CER-s.
