WebEdi Pilot Overview • Test period (2-3 weeks) starting: week xxx (first group) Ending: week yyy • Supplier support: Business/Process issues : Buyers Technical issues: Local IT • Preliminary activities • Establish internet connection : • verify WEB connection works using the correct logon details (account/password) • Update your profile (see also documentation ‘The first login’ ) • Setup your administrative details
Technical Requirements • Hardware for WebEDI • Personal computer with: • Operating system XP or 2000 • CPU min. 1,0 GHZ • RAM min. 512 Mbyte • Graphics card min. 1024x768 Pixel, with 256 colors • Monitor 17” • Hard disc 40 GB • Internet access min. 64 Kbit, we recommend 1 MBit • Software for WebEDI: • Browser Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6.0, also Netscape 7.02 perhaps with lower function or performance, Firefox 1.0.4 • PDF-Reader PDF 1.3 supporting Reader (e.g. Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 4.0 or higher) • Please take care by using “Google toolbar” with the deactivating of Pop ups. The pop ups are necessary for working with WebEDI. JavaScript has to be activated.
First login To make your first login, the following steps are necessary: 1. Start Internet 2. Please type in the Internet address http://wgate.electrolux.com/wGate/ • …and now (see documentation :THE FIRST LOGIN)
WebEdiproposed activities: • Daily activities(see documentation :display print and download delivery instruction) • Check the new delivery requests • Print the production plan(see documentation :display print production plan) • In the production plan you will always find the last request • Download into excel the received data • Check the data and review how to “import” this to your own systems If you experience any problems, contact the WEBEDI support directly!
WebEDIproposed activities for (Step 1) • Set up the mandatory data for dispatches : (only one time) (see documentation How start to set up the packaging instruction) • For each Item you will need to define : • The Inner packaging data (Box) • Type of inner packaging • Item quantity (within inner packaging) • Weight (net) & unit of measure • Barcode label (must be set to “ODETTE TRANSPORTATON LABEL”) • Define the number of inner packages contained in one exterior package • For each ‘exterior’ package (Pallet) you will need to define : • Type • Weight & unit of measure
WebEDIproposed activities for (Step 2) • Create the first dispatch (see documentation First shipment with the completion of the packaging master data) • Verify the packaging master data • Print the picking list to verify the number of inner and exterior packages • Print the labels and check you have all the required labels for all packages • “Complete” the delivery (within the webEDI tool) • Print the delivery note (check it contains all required information) • “Send” the data to Electrolux (Dispatch advice) • For all problems linked WebEdi contact WEBEDI support! • Note: this is in addition to your normal procedure • This information will only be processed in “test” mode by Electrolux • Your normal labelling and documents procedure should still be used for the real deliveries
WebEDI proposed activities (Step 3) • Start to create invoices using WebEdi (see Documentation start with invoice) • Create a first “test” invoice linked to a previously created “delivery/despatch” • Send the “test” invoice to Electrolux (by WebEDI)
