9. Introduction In this course you will participate in a virtual team simulation where you and your teammates play the roles of business people from other cultures. Your team’s task is to find the best location for a new “green” automobile manufacturing plant. As you learn how to be more productive on a virtual team, you also gain insight into other cultures.

11. Simulation For the simulation you join an intercultural virtual team and assume the identity of an employee from another culture. You’re working for a large multinational car company. Your team must identify the best location to build a new “green” car.
Your boss has asked the teams in your class to research the optimum location to locate a new factory that will employ 2,000 workers. She has asked you to consider the following locations for the factory:
Argentina Indonesia
Brazil Mexico
China Saudi Arabia
Egypt South Africa
India Turkey
Each team consists of 6 to 8 members from the above countries.
