What Do Evaluators Do? • Conduct an evaluation on partner during a match • Debrief with partner after the match and provide feedback • Submit electronic evaluation online within one week of the match • Ratings chair reviews and approves evaluation and makes it available to view online.
Tips for Being Rated • Be yourself! Raters want to get a picture of how you normally work a match. • Listen attentively during the debrief, and take notes to help yourself make changes sooner. • We rarely see ourselves as others do; you may not agree with what you hear, but don’t argue. • Review your evaluations online

Making Contact • If you need to contact the rating chair or the committee chair, be prepared with the following details: • Name of your evaluator • Date and location of your evaluation • Details of the specific situation
How are levels determined? • Volleyball Committee is ultimately responsible for determining each official’s level • Committee members review evaluations and vote separately • Committee Chair tabulates votes; majority rules • Close votes (4-5/5-4) are discussed at next committee meeting • Notification of final rating comes from Committee Chair
