Main equipments we used • Microcontroller (PIC18F4620). • Accelerometer sensor ADXL-335. • Bluetooth device (Gold Mate). • Mobile device (that supports java) where we installed the software to deal with received data from the circuit.
What can we get?? • Step count : how many steps that we did. • Distance : the distance that we passed during the exercise . • Speed : current speed for the user. • Calories : the calories that the user burned.
Calculations • Steps count: From the outputs of the ADXL-335 device
Calculations cont.. • Distance: D = #of steps * step_distance. step_distance = (factor * tall)/100. • Speed : S step = D step /time step • Calories: C = cal_factor * weight(in bound)* distance
How to use ?? • Install the software on your mobile. • Tie the circuit around your leg. • Turn the power on. • Search for Bluetooth devices from your mobile. • Connect to our device and then search for services. • Open the application. • Start your exercise and monitor the results.
Problems we faced • The main and the only problem was the availability of the equipments in the market.
