Key Centenary concepts • Centenary Programme Aims: • accelerate and enhance an effective fundraising campaign • promote the reputation of Imperial • develop a sense of community throughout our key audiences • work across the College and internationally • be forward looking • Centenary marks the public launch of an ongoing 10-year fundraising campaign: • support for students and the learning community • evolving our academic strategy • renewal of campus infrastructure • Comprehensive, coordinated and effective programme of events during 2007 • Overarching strapline will be 100 years of living science

The Centenary Campaign Accelerating and enhancing an effective fundraising campaign
Promoting the reputation of Imperial Confirmed media plans include: • A media launch event • Press pack including Imperial’s achievements over the last 100 years and its history • Briefing of journalists and editors to raise awareness of anniversary year • Special event at the BA Festival of Science in York, September 2007 attended by all major science journalists • Increase general awareness in all speeches and media interactions • 16 August 2006 The Daily Telegraph Personal View column by the Rector included a Centenary mention
Developing a sense of community Centenary website was launched in July 2006 www.imperial.ac.uk/Centenary In January 2007, the new Centenary website will be launched and will include: • Centenary eventscalendar • Campaign information • Centenary news • Interactive historical timeline • Testimonials/memoriesof current staff, students, alumni, donors • Podcasts and webstreams of Centenary events • Current and historical images • Downloads including a screensaver and e-postcards (historical and contemporary)
Developing a sense of community Campus Decoration • Visual Centenary presence on every campus, including internal and external banners • Centenary Exhibition – to tour campuses where possible Merchandise • The History of Imperial College by Hannah Gay • Book on the History of Imperial College London • Book launch to be held 1 May 2007 • Centenary branded 2006-7 academic diary, currently available to purchase • A select range of Centenary branded goods through ICU shop and website • Centenary branded gifts for VIP guests and international visits
Centenary logo toolkit • Centenary branded letterhead will replace the standard stock from October 2006 – December 2007 • Personalised business cards and compliment slips are now available • All external post will have a Centenary frank added from November 2006 • Event invitations and posters are now Centenary branded • Branded stationery and PowerPoint templates and logos are available from the website
Publications • All publications Centenary branded where possible • Suite of Centenary publications is in development including: • Campaign brochure • Events leaflet • “A Century of Achievement” brochure and poster
