Pharmacoeconomics Must be employed early and often in development consider needs of the patient Use multi-perspective approach (ie – gov’t, payers, society etc.) Increase use of PhIV and head to head trials Consider alternative methods of reimbursement Payment for results Pharmocogenetics Devolve away from blockbuster model of development Move towards more personalized mode pharmaceutical therapy Get away from supply induced demand mentality Strategy: Two Pronged Attack
