Tilman Ruff Peter Annear Tilman is an infectious diseases and public health physician, committed to the urgent public health imperative to abolish nuclear weapons, and to realising the potential of immunisation. Highlights: Co-President of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) Co-Chair of International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) Past Australian president of Medical Association for Prevention of War NGO Advisor to Co-Chairs of International Commission on Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament , 2008-10 Tilman has also worked extensively on hepatitis B control, immunisation and maternal and child health in Indonesia and Pacific island countries. He serves as international medical advisor to Australian Red Cross, and provides technical advice on immunisation for WHO, UNICEF, AusAID and vaccine manufacturers. Peter is a health economist and health financing specialist who has worked in international development since the 1970s. Highlights: 18 years experience working in health sector in Cambodia, Laos and other Asian countries as a consultant and policy advisor for their Ministries of Health, WHO, World Bank and AusAID Head of research in international health planning and financing at the Nossal Institute Academic Head of AusAID Health Finance and Health Policy Knowledge Hub Peter has published extensively on health and development, with a focus on equity and access to health services for the poor. He has a particular interest in demand-side health financing issues.
