  4. Family • Married Ricky Anne Loew-Beer in 1964 • Had 3 Children Dylan Lauren, David Lauren, Andrew Lauren

  5. Foundation of his business • As a salesman he designed a wide European style necktie that he sold to Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale's at age 26 • 1967 he opened a necktie store where he sold his own Polo brand • In 1971 he opened his own Polo store where his brand sky rocketed in popularity.
