Holiday in Italy Palio di Siena Dates: July 2nd, August 16th • Evening before the race, 25,000 people eat outside • In the morning, each horse is led into the church to be blessed • 50,000 people file into the middle of the square • Horses line up behind the starting line and the race begins • There are 10 horses • First one to finish the race wins

  14. Traditional Recipe Apple Cake • INGREDIENTS 150 g of Flour with yeast200 g of Sugar2 Eggs100 ml of Milk1 Kg of ApplesA pinch o salt3 Tablespoons of extra virgin olive oilA piece of butter for the pan • PREPARATION TIME: 15 minutesCOOKING TIME: 40 minutes

Continued… • Beat the eggs and 150 g. of sugar in a bowl • Add the flour with salt and extra virgin olive oil to the eggs mixture • Mix together until you get a soft dough • Add some milk little by little, stir and prepare the apples • Clean and peel the apples, cut them in square pieces and add them to the dough already prepared • Butter a pan and flour it • Pour the mixture in the pan and sprinkle with some sugar • Bake at 180 degrees • Drinks • Wines • Beers • Coffee

  16. Tourist Attraction Leaning Tower of Pisa • People visit it because it is the only famous bell tower that leans 4.4 meters out of line in Pisa, Italy • The height of the tower is 55 meters
