History & Purpose 100BMBC • Branch of the International 100 Black Men of America, Inc.(1963) Non-Profit organization dedicated to supporting 105 national & international chapters, w/ 10,000 members. Impacting 100,000 youth. International message reach of 20 Million annually • 100 Black Men of Bradley County. Inc. Established 1994 in Cleveland, TN

100 BM SignatureFour For the Future Program • Mentoring • Group Mentoring provides positive role models for Middle and High School at-risk male students (22 boys ages 7-17) “Mentoring the 100 Way II” • Mentoring Program Themes • Positive Self Esteem, Substance Abuse Awareness, Surviving Middle & HS; Peer Pressure; Personal Discipline and Anger Management; Community Service, Black History, Leadership Skills & Character Building. • Community Outreach Mentoring: “Future CEO’s in Training”-In-School Friday Morning Mentoring Program with Cleveland Middle School (6-8th grade) boys & girls, impacting 25 males (directly)/25 females (directly) and 200 male & female at-risks students (indirectly). • Over 690 contact hours volunteered per year.
100 BM SignatureFour For the Future Program Cont. • Education • Education is the key to opportunity • Currently 36 active students in Accrued & College Tuition Assistance Programs • Since 1994 100BMBC has awarded ($750,000) educational assistance to over 100 students • Enrollment almost quadrupled in the 12 year period from 15 to 51 (1994-2006) • Established weekly in school mentoring program for boys at CMS 6th-8th grade (08/2002) Feeder program to college “Future CEO’s in Training.” 30 Participating • Established weekly in school mentoring program for girls at CMS 6th-8th grade (11/2008) Feeder program to college “Future CEO’s in Training.” PILOT- 30 participating.
100 BM SignatureFour For the Future Program Cont. • Education Objectives • Provide Financial support to “at-risk” students attending college- $82,940-2009 • Fairness • Community Service component • Accrued Scholarship (15 funded @ $49.6K-2009) • College Tuition Assistance (21 funded @ $53.3K-2009)* • 8 Schools- Clark Atlanta, UTK, Lee U, Maryville College, Austin-Peay U, MTSU, UTC, and Cleveland State. • * Note- In Kind gift- Lee U; CSCS (2+2) etc.

Our Economic Development programs and SMOB (small minority owned business) workshops provides credit education, investment club strategies, and real estate planning seminars to community members.

The 100BMBC teams up with other non-profit organizations such as the Ocoee Regional Health Corp. • Walk of Life –September 12, 2009 with Pfizer Drug Co with 30 Healthcare professionals Bradley Sq Mall
100 BMBC Community Work Service Outreach Program • Community Work Program • Provide opportunities for students in the 100BMBC Scholarship programs to benefit the community, teach responsibility, and promote good citizenship principles. • 2006- 51 students provided over 1275 hours of community service through tutoring= 53 volunteer days. • 25 community service hours per year • “Make a Difference Day” • Service to non-profits in the Greater Cleveland Bradley County Community • 2002 Roy L. Johnson Awardee-200 hours
