Denmarks’ ambitiousgreen energypolicy Ambitious green energy policy: long-term goal for 2050 – independence of fossil fuels Stable regulatory framework to 2020 Offshore wind broad political support – 95 % of the Danish Parliament Effects in 2020 50 percent of our electricity consumption from wind power
New Offshore Wind projects in Denmark • Horns Rev 3: 400 MW • Kriegers Flak: 600 MW Tender for 450 MW near shore wind farms 50 MW turbines for research and development
The Danish offshore approach A track record of political stability Planning and pre-investigations Predictable income DEA is one stop shop Grid connection – large scale and near shore No requirement for local content Transparent and flexible tender process
Integration of wind power Strong interconnectors A well functioning international market for electricity Flexible electricity consumption
Horns Rev 3 and Kriegers Flak The most attractive sites The sites chosen for tender ranked the highest in the economic ranking Horns Rev 3 Kriegers Flak
Horns Rev 3 400 MW in the North Sea Denmark's 14th offshore wind farm Local competences and network of suppliers North Sea has good wind conditions Sea depths of less than 20 metres
Kriegers Flak 600 MW in the Baltic Sea Denmark's largest offshore wind farm Located in the Baltic Sea close to borders of Sweden and Germany Will also be linked to the German farm - power can be led to both countries Kriegers Flak Good wind conditions

The Danish TSO - Energinet.dk Independent public enterprise – owns and operates highways of energy (electricity and gas) Energinet.dk is to ensure security of supply Our finances must break even – non-profit We develop a more flexible power system
Roles of Energinet.dk in OWF Finance, construct and operate platform and sea cable Bringing power from new OWF ashore and strengthen grid Secure that grid connection is available in due time During the last year requested by DEA to conduct pre-investigations and EIA for future offshore wind farms
