JOHARI WINDOW Johari window is a technique used to help people better understand their relationships with self and others. When others say what they see (feedback), in a supportive, responsible way, and we are able to hear it; in that way we are able to test the reality of who we are and are able togrow.
JOHARI WINDOW OPEN ARENA BLIND SPOT The open area is that part of our conscious self – our attitudes, behavior, motivation, values, way of life of which we are aware and which is known to others. There are things about Ourselves which we do not know, but that others can see more clearly; or things we imagine to be true of ourselves for a variety of reasons but that others do not see at all.
JOHARI WINDOW HIDDEN UNKNOWN Our hidden area cannot be known to others unless we disclose it. There is that which we freely keep Within ourselves, and that which we retain out of fear. The degree to which we share ourselves with theìrs (disclosure) is the degree to which we can beknown. We are more rich and complex than that which we and others know, but from time to time something happens – is felt, read, heard, dreamed something from our unconscious is revealed. Then we "know" what we have never "known“ before.

COMMENTS • Alessia: I think that this activity has given me the possibility to learn more about myself and my personality. • Irene: I see myself a little bit different from how my classmate sees me. I have a deep awareness of my defects and values. • Antonella: I Know myself deeply and this activity has permitted me to realize that I’m an open person who doesn’t hide anything. • Irene: I’ve realized that people see me in a more positive way than I see myself. Perhaps it will help me to be more optimist and positive. • Cristina: this activity has helped me to better understand myself. I am seen by the others as I see myself.
COMMENTS • Cristina: comparing how I see myself and how the others see me, I haven’t seen any differences. This work has helped me to better understand myself. • Margherita: I have realized that I’m too hard towards myself, I see defects that the others do not see. Perhaps nobody really knows me maybe because I do not show how I am. • Giulia: I’m an open book, I show the others who I am. • Federica: I’ve discovered that the others see me in a way I wasn’t aware of. Great surprise. I’ll have to work on it. • Rosalba: I have understood what people know of me and what they like and don’t like. • Miriana: I appear to the others how I really am. • Antonella: Now I know what people think about me
