  3. What is a Parent Portal? • A tool to help parents effectively and consistently keep track and view their children's progress in the classroom. • Grades • Attendance • Schedules • This portal can assist parents in participating more actively to support their child’s achievement.

  10. Is the Student’s Data Safe? • All student data, user IDs, and passwords are encrypted and password protected • Schools verify parent or guardian status before granting access to student data

The Process at BMS • A flyer and the registration form will be sent home prior to parent/teacher conferences in November. • During parent/teacher conferences, parents can stop by the registration office to register with Maria Salazar for the parent portal. • Parents must come up to school and show photo ID to register for the parent portal. NO EXCEPTIONS!

The Process at BMS • In January, the parents who have registered will receive an email with the parent portal URL and their token to log-in. • Parents can continue registering throughout the remainder of the school year. • The parent portal registration form will become part of the new student registration packet at BMS .
