Why My Reviewers? • Students disregard teachers' evaluations. They’ve come to think of grades as arbitrary and unhelpful • Grading criteria are poorly defined/inconsistent • Inconclusive evidence higher education matters • Universities lack real-time information about student struggles as writers, thinkers, researchers • Universities lack digital libraries/models/evidence of undergraduate student work.
The My Reviewers Process • Clarifies grading criteria • Improves teacher response to writing • Enhances student peer review • Encourages reflection/critical thinking • Enables universities to assessthe development of research, writing, and critical thinkingskills, synthesizing teacher response with assessment
