WHY IS YOUR RÉSUMÉ IMPORTANT? • IT IS OFTEN THE FIRST MEETING WITH AN EMPLOYER • IT TRULY IS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION • IT GIVES YOU DEPTH • IT TELLS YOUR STORY • IT FILLS IN THE BLANKS • IT SHOWS THEM YOU CAN WRITE (and spell!) • IF POORLY WRITTEN IT CAN LEAVE THEM UNINFORMED • IT TELLS THEM YOU ARE INTELLIGENT • IT GIVES THEM A PLACE TO CHECK ON YOU • IT CAN GET THEM REALLY INTERESTED IN YOU
