  3. Does anyone know what a mosque is? What it may look like? Has anyone been to a mosque? Or passed by one? Did anyone notice anything unusual or different about the outside/inside of a mosque?

  17. Ablution (wash oneself) • They wash their bodies as a sign that they are also cleaning their minds of all their everyday thoughts so that they can concentrate on praying to Allah.

  19. Mihrab hole in the wall The Imam faces this hole when he leads the prayers- it echoes his voice, so all can hear him.

  20. Minbar The Imam sits in this chair, above everyone, so all can see & hear him.
