Why do you think Muslims take there shoe off before entering the prayer room? • To show respect to Allah by being clean and tidy. • To keep the mosque clean.
Ablution (wash oneself) • They wash their bodies as a sign that they are also cleaning their minds of all their everyday thoughts so that they can concentrate on praying to Allah.
Mihrab hole in the wall The Imam faces this hole when he leads the prayers- it echoes his voice, so all can hear him.
Minbar The Imam sits in this chair, above everyone, so all can see & hear him.
