  5. What is the Church? • The church is the body of saved people Acts 2:47 • Are there going to be saved people outside of the body of saved people?

What Makes the Church Christ’s?Romans 16:16 • He purchased it with His blood - Acts 20:28 • He gave Himself for it - Eph. 5:25-27 • He built the church - Matt. 16:18 • Church exists by His authority - Matt. 28:18-20 • He is the head of the church - Eph. 1:22-23 • He is the foundation - Eph. 2:19-22 • Church follows His doctrine - John 8:31

The Church of Christ is Not a Denomination • Jesus built only one church - Matt. 16:18 • There is only one body - Eph. 4:4 • Jesus is the Savior of the one body - Eph. 5:23 • Jesus prayed for the unity of believers, not our “celebrated” division - John 17:20-21 • Believers not allowed to be divided by doctrinal differences or personalities - 1 Cor. 1:10-13

  12. Our Question • Will only members of the Church of Christ be saved? • Will only members of the body of saved people be saved? • The answer is “yes.”

  13. What must one do to be saved? • Believe - John 8:24 • Repent - Luke 13:3 • Confess - Rom. 10:9-10 • Baptized - Acts 2:38 Added to the Lord’s church - Acts 2:47
