Pre-reading Activity Form a group of five people. The person given a sheet of paper is the “secretary”responsible for recording what her group members read to her. The other four members go look for the nine sentences pasted on different corners of the classroom. Try to memorize them and read them to the “secretary”in your group. The first group to get the whole task done is the winner.
A Brief Summary of Lesson 5 1. Stress is a very normal part of life 2. It comes from the inside, from the meaning we give to what has happened 3. Besides our mental condition, stress is also caused by our physical condition. 4. Whether or not something is stressful may change from day to day, even for the same person.
5.There are several ways for us to deal with stress. 6. First, we need to learn how to relax and how to breathe slowly and smoothly. 7. We can also take time to observe the small but pleasurable things in life. 8. We also need to take care of our bodies. 9. Finally, we need to identify what is causing the stress in our lives.
