THE NORMANS. The Normans came from Normandy in France. T hey were VIKINGS !. CASTLES. Norman castles were built to withstand enemy ATTACKS. They were often made of stone or wood. RULERS AND LORDS.

  2. CASTLES • Norman castles were built to withstand enemy ATTACKS. They were often made of stone or wood

  3. RULERS AND LORDS • Norman politics was made up of kings,queens,lords and ladies. The lords swore loyalty to the kings

  4. WARRIORS! • Norman warriors often carried Swords,spears,axes,bows and hammers into battle

  5. LAW • Brehan law was used by the Normans. It was when lords swore loyalty to a high king. Some Brehan trials were Trial by water ,trial by fire and trial by battle.

  6. ARMOUR AND WEAPONS • ARMOUR Normans wore heavy iron helmets and chain mail armour. • WEAPONS Normans carried swords,spears,axes and hammers.
