This may sound very bizarre at first, but when you really look into the way it does it, it will amaze you. These converters consist of platinum group metals which act as catalysts to convert these harmful gases into less harmful exhaust. This benign technology has enabled the citizens to be able to contribute to environmental justice through prevention of release of harmful exhaust gases into the environment. These converters contain a limited amount of catalyst, thus there comes a time when this quantity is exhausted. When this time comes, the human race contributes to save the planet yet again through catalytic converter recycling. The car user simply has to take his car to a garage and have the converter removed. This converter can then be taken to a recycling company to initiate further process. One can also take this converter to a dealer who then sells it to a recycler.
