UNC Modification 414 • UNC Modification 414 – Discontinuation of ANS Usage for Interruption Communications by Transporters • UNC Modification 414 seeks to remove the obligations on Distribution Networks to use the Active Notification System (ANS) to serve notice of: • Interruption Notices (G6.8.1) • Interruption Requirement no longer exists (G.6.8.5) • Since Interruption Reform (UNC Mod 090) no Users have opted to receive communications via ANS, preferring telephone or facsimile notification • UNC Mod 414 seeks to remove the reference to ANS from Appendix 5B in the above instances
UNC Mod 414 – Manual Changes • The following changes will need to be made to the Manual:
UNC Modification 414 • Changes will be required to the Manual after UNC Modification has been approved • As a UNC Modification is required, this should be dealt with as a Class 2 UK Link Modification, but this is expected to have no impacts to Users therefore is proposed as a Class 1 Change • Update to the manual proposed to be undertaken as a simple administrative change
Shipper Information Service • Shipper Information Service (SIS) enabled publication of data to UK Link Users • Service is provided by an out of date application (Lotus Notes) and is not widely used by Users • Information published has been replaced on other more appropriate mediums, including: • National Grid website • Xoserve website • Joint Office • Proposal is to remove SIS, and maintain provision as currently. • Xoserve and National Grid are conducting a review exercise to identify existing data obligations, and where these are discharged
Shipper Information Service • An example SIS obligation:
Shipper Information Service • National Grid have engaged Users through NG Operations Forum • Some limited Use identified • Users typically happy with alternative data sources currently used • Users views are sought? • Next steps… • Formally propose change to the UK Link Manual to remove references to SIS • Undertake changes as an administrative change
