Macromedia Inc. • The Beginning (1984 – 1992) • Macromedia Inc. was created under the name MacroMind, which was dedicated to giving artists high end video and audio. • It was created by Marc Canter with the help of his frilicensey Fenton and Marc Pierce.
Macromedia Inc. (cont.) • In 1991 MacroMind merged with Paracomp which was an early leader in 3D graphics and the company was renamed MacroMind-Paracomp. • In 1992 MacroMind-Paracomp merged with Authorware to form Macromedia.
