Code of Conduct • Always be respectful of other Orgs on your Team AND the members of other Teams • Be respectful of the Greek Week Exec Board • Good Sportsmanship – Philanthropy • Any complaints can me brought to Steve or Melissa ONLY through the org’s representative • No smoking or drinking at any event • HAVE FUN!

  4. Point Breakdown • Maximum Points per Category • Maximum Points for Participation 8,000 (40%) • Maximum Points for Competition 8,000 (40%) • Maximum Points for Money (Flat Fee) 2,000 (10%) • Maximum Points for Money 2,000 (10%) Total:20,000 (100%)

Participation Breakdown • ATTENDANCE (most events) • 70%+ of your Team in attendance 400 points • 60% – 69.9% of your Team in attendance 350 points • 50% – 59.9% of your Team in attendance 300 points • 40% – 49.9% of your Team in attendance 250 points • Below 40% of your Team in attendance 0 points • *Bonus Threshold: 70% of your Organization in attendance 100 points per Org • Maximum Possible Participation Point Total: 400 (Team) + 100 (Org A) + 100 (Org B) + 100 (Org C) = 700 points

  6. How to sign in • Always bring a cane card or Government issued ID to sign in • Exception is Blood Drive – Cane Card Only for all donors • No one else on your team may sign you in • Do not switch clothing for T-shirt sign ins, will result in infractions.

  7. Spirit Award Worth 1,000 points this year! highest of any event Voted on by Exec after every event Ideas: FB statuses, profile picture, cheering and chants, supporting all teams, staying for full events, sportsmanship, respect for Teams and GW Exec

  8. Greek Extrav • Friday, February 24th, 2012 • Sign-in: 7:30-8pm, Event begins at 8pm • Location: Gusman Hall • Greek Extravaganza is a step/stroll competition hosted annually by NPHC. • Each organization who has at least one member to sign in for attendance points will receive 50 points (a total of 150 possible points per team). • Tickets can be purchased for $15 in advance from any NPHC member, or for $20 at the door.

  9. UCP Bracelet Sales • Purchase Bracelets at Opening Ceremonies, UCP Awareness Day, God and Goddess, Greek Row, O Cheer, and Breezeway Sign ins • For max points must buy enough for 50% of your team

  10. Opening Ceremonies • Sunday, February 26th at the Rock • Sign-ins from 3:15 – 4 • Event begins at 4 • Team Cheer (Similar to Color Wars) • Cape Contest • Greek Week T-shirts will be handed out at the beginning of this event by a representative from each organization

  11. Blood Drive • Goal: 1500 donors! • Efficiency Days • Each org on a team has a specific efficiency day • Day 4- Make up day for everyone • if anemic go earlier in the week • 50% of your org must go on your efficiency day to get full points • Iron Deficiency – Can attempt to donate again in 48 hours. If still deficient will count as donating

Blood Drive • Point breakdown -Team with highest percentage of team members donating receives 800 -Team with highest number of unaffiliated donors give for their team receives 800 pointspoints (can no longer have someone donate specifically for YOU) • MISSED PLATELET APPOINTS WILL LOSE YOU 100 POINTS Platelet Appointments up to 20 per team may give platelets - link on the site -If you give platelets early, 48 hours later you can donate whole blood, but if whole blood is donated first then you CANNOT go back later to donate platelets

UCP Awareness Day / Greek Week Shirt Day • Monday February 27th • 11:00-2:00 • The Green • Sign in with OFFICIAL Greek Week Shirt • Raffle – Get tickets in your bucket • Email Campaign – Send given email to friends and family • CC the provided email address to get points! • Based on # emails sent, not amount of money raised

  14. Safe Spring Break Speaker • Date: Monday, February 27th , 7:30 • Michael Gershe “Magic of Life” • Location: LC 110 • 25 members from each Team must sign in and sign out • At least 2 from each organization must attend

  15. Trivia Photo Hunt / Letters Day • Tuesday February 28th, 8:00-5:00 • Answer a question about UCP or superheroes to take a picture with an E-board member. Then upload it to Facebook. Then, you must tag the Umiami Greek Week Photo Hunt person • Must be wearing letters for the photo to count and make the “U” with the exec member • Restricted Areas: Panhell, Residential Buildings, Rat, Classrooms, Gym, UC, Greek Week Events, Off Campus • Can’t be in same Org as exec member, Team ok

  16. Team Unity Day • Wednesday February 29th • 11:00-2:00 • UC Breezeway • Sign in with your team’s colors, letters, any shirt from any org on your team, or superhero theme • FREE PIZZA for participants!  • As always need a cane card or ID and NO SWITCHING CLOTHES

  17. Greek God and Goddess • Wednesday February 29th 8:00 • UC Patio • Scores based on Resume, video biography, team round, talent, and interview (for top 3 only) • Schedule of the Nighti. Team Roundii. Bios/Individual Roundsiii. Calculate Scores  Top 3 God/Goddess get interviewediv. Final Scores Calculated  Winners Crowned • There IS a sign out

Greek Row /Canes Pride Day • Thursday March 1st 12:00-3:00 • Location: Wellness Center Atrium • Sign in in Orange and Green or UM apparel • Members from each Team will Row on the rowing machines to see who can row the farthest while dressed up in their team costume. • In addition to this, teams may purchase negative and positive tickets to try to end up with the most positive balance of tickets in their own bucket. (formerly Jail and Bail)

  19. Supply Drive • Each organization is given the opportunity to earn up to 200 points of supplies collected off of the Community Partnership Supply List. • Donations will be turned in during Greek Row from 12-3 and must be clearly labeled with your organization name AND an item checklist that will be emailed out. • Donations will be accepted late, however no points will be rewarded.

  20. TCBY and GPS Fundraisers • GPS: Tuesday February 28th from 11 am to 12am • TCBY: Thursday March 1st from 12 pm to 11pm • Staple receipts to the flyers that we will hand out to get credit for your team’s purchases. • The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd team with the highest total of money raised will get points accordingly. • Tell friends to buy on behalf of your Team!

  21. O-Cheer • Event: Friday, March 2nd, 7pm • Rehearsals: Thursday, March 1st, 6-11 pm • Location: UC Patio • Major Changes: -Teams of 24-32 members -Min of 6, max of 16 people per org -No one org can make up more than 50% of a team • All dance moves and costumes must be approved at rehearsals

  22. Olympic Day • Marathon Relay • …(more detail in a minute) • Capture the Flag • 8 team members play at a time, Min 2 per org • Sebastian Says … just like you used to play, but BIGGER • Min of 2 per org., Max of 10 per team • Kickball • Min of 9/ Max of 12 per team, Min 3 per org. • 4 innings, max 30 minutes- highest score at end of last complete inning • Dodge ball • 5 team members play at a time, but may submit up to 7 on roster • Min 1 per org • Tug-o-War …classic. • 8 v 8

Marathon Relay 1st leg: “Wheelbarrow Walk” 2nd leg: “1st Distance Lake Run” - Start at IM Fields, around the lake, end at the Rock 3rd leg: “Food Toss” 4th leg: “Swim” 5th leg: “Mystery Puzzle” 6th leg: “Food Eating Contest” - Foote Green 7th leg: “2nd Distance Lake Run” - Start at the Foote Green, around the lake, end at IM Fields 8th leg: “Pull-ups” 9th leg: “Crab Walk” 10th leg: “3-Legged Race” 11th leg: “Baggo” 12th leg: “Balloon Walk” 13th leg: “Tennis-Ball Pass” - 9 people, 3 from each org. 14th leg: “Rock Wall Climb” 

  24. Closing Ceremonies /All Greek Barbecue • Sunday March 4th • 12pm-2:00pm • The Green and Rock • Closing Ceremonies will consist of an ALL-Greek Celebration followed by the presentation of trophies • Free food from Shorty’s and Einstein! • No points will be awarded at Closing Ceremonies
