Ten Prioritiesfor a Resiliency/Recovery System of Care • Serving youth, adults, and families affected by serious mental health and co-occurring disorders (MH/AD/DD) with Best Practices and Evidence Based Practices • Improving access (entry) to care through an integrated health care system • Reducing stigma • Using Utilization Management to ensure people receive the right care • Increasing Cultural and Linguistic Competency • Competency in coordinating care for high end users (most seriously ill) • Ensuring the use of valid and reliable data in decision making • Provision of training, skills assessment, re-training, monitoring, and outcome/quality measures • Manualization of best practices • Focusing on Prevention and Early Intervention OMH 7/29/08

  8. Services Offered Outpatient Clinical Servicescrisis and therapeutic interventions provided by 43 community mental health centers directly operated by the state or local governmental entities. Community Support Servicesthat are provided through community contract agencies. Acute Inpatient Careprovided by units in 4 LSU-HCSD Hospitals and units in 3 State Psychiatric Hospitals. Psychiatric Inpatient Careprovided by 5 State Psychiatric Hospitals that include care for forensically involved individuals. OMH 7/29/08

Social Services Block Grant (SSBG): Expand evidence-based Crisis services for adults and behavioral health services for children Louisiana Integrated Treatment Services: Development of a co-occurring capable system of care Cornerstone Model: Develops Recovery and Resiliency, Utilization Management, Performance Improvement, and Credentialing with the OMH system of care Disaster Recovery and Preparedness: Prepare state, regional, and hospital disaster recovery and emergency preparedness plans ensuring maximum interagency collaboration. Permanent Supportive Housing: (PSH) Housing vouchers with $5,000 of support per year for special populations including those with Mental Illness OMH 7/29/08
