  21. Florence Elementary Jeri Lynn Rushing Goal: FES wanted to reduce discipline referrals by 5%. - PD with Teachers - Classroom Guidance - Students who had more than 4 ODR’s participated in groups & CICO. At the end of the year, discipline referrals were down by 7%.

  22. Pelahatchie Elementary Dana Lee During the fall of the 2013-2014 we reviewed bus referral data and determined we needed to implement an incentive program to decrease bus referrals. A road was posted on the wall in the cafeteria and each week the buses that had no referrals would travel down the road. At the end of six weeks, the buses that made it to the end of the road received an ice cream party.

  23. Stonebridge Elementary Christy Tigrett & Pam Cooper Mississippi Farm Emphasis Week: Guidance classes discussed: • How making healthy choices leads to a healthier life • Agricultural occupations in our area, and representatives talked to students regarding their responsibilities relating to Mississippi agriculture. Students also worked cooperatively in groups to research various occupations using technology and then presented the information gained to the class. This unit helped students understand how important agriculture is in Mississippi and provided insight for jobs that are usually highlighted when discussing careers.
