Counseling Services • Classroom Counseling supports teachers by teaching social skills, conflict resolution, school success skills, and personal safety. • Responsive services meet the immediate needs and concerns of students through individual or small group counseling • Collaboration and Coordination with community agencies • Crisis intervention

Counselor Duties at MDL • Classroom orientation • New student orientation • Classroom guidance lessons • Individual counseling with students, parents, and teachers • Group Counseling • Conferences with teachers and parents • Referrals for gifted and talented • Designing Behavior plans for students in need • Daily Check-in/Check-out for behavior plans • Red Ribbon Week organizer and facilitator • PBIS committee member • Home visits with colleagues • Consultation with outside agencies • Concern of Harm Contact • Crisis Intervention • Bully/Cyberbully Survey • RTI committee member • Parent workshops • And other duties as assigned by the Principal
