Parliamentary Procedure • Facilitate transaction of business • All members have equal rights • Majority decides • Minority rights protected • Full & free discussion of every issue • Only one question at a time • Members have the right to know the question at any time • Only speak when recognized by the Chair, and then only to the chair • Chair must be impartial

Congratulations • 2014 Circuits and Systems Society the Chapter of the Year Award • IEEE Central Texas – San Antonio Life Members Affinity Group 2013 list of Outstanding Life Members Affinity Groups • Fawzi Behman received the 2013 IEEE Region 5 Outstanding Member award. • Zhuo Li who received the 2013 IEEE Region 5 Individual Member Achievement award. • The University of Texas IEEE Student Branch members Tyler Walker and Connor Weins took first place in Ethics Competition at the 2014 IEEE Region 5 Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas. • Trinity University IEEE Student Branch took third place in the Ethics Competition at the 2014 IEEE Region 5 Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Sections Congress • Sections Congress is a triennial gathering of IEEE grassroots leadership to: • network with other Section leaders; • attend training programs; • develop recommendations to guide the future of IEEE. • The goals of SC2014 were three-fold • to provide an opportunity for delegates to gain information and training skills; • to network and build relationships with other volunteers within IEEE; • to serve as a forum for Section representatives and other local leaders, enabling them to voice – on behalf of the collective membership – the ideas, issues, and recommendations which will impact the development and growth of IEEE throughout the world, reinforcing its vitality and relevance to those it serves.

(Leslie) • Met IEEE leaders from all over the world and learned and collaborated on different ideas to enhance IEEE (Devon) • The session on small and medium sized sections could be utilized for training chapter leaders; MGA will be posting the notes from that session soon. (Scott)
