  6. 1936 • Hitler invades the Rhineland • League of Nations says ‘you can’t do that’ - appeasement

  7. 1938 • Hitler will annex Austria (known as the Anschlus) • League of Nations says ‘you can’t do that’ – appeasement

  8. 1939 • Hitler invades Czech • League of Nations says ‘you can’t do that’- appeasement

  12. SEPTEMBER 3 1939 • England and France declare war on Germany • WWII BEGINS !
