CGL Re-Charter Cont… • Work closely with SCOPE Alliance • Work closely with Linux kernel community with goal of having CGL code to be included upstream • Focus on gap requirements leading to upstream solutions and running code • Split requirements into “satisfied” and “gaps” • Future consideration • Optional LSB CGL module for certification of CGL features

CGL Gaps Document • Will initially be a Wiki page • Can be edited by any member of CGL with editor review • Always up-to-date status of different projects • Will specify a requirement • Will specify the justification • Will not specify the implementation but may suggest one or more solutions and it’s status • Kernel/Linux developers will review implementations on the CGL and/or LKML mailing lists • Goal is to get a solution included in the mainline
CGL WG Current Status • Division of CGL 4.0 into “Satisfied” and “Gaps” • Each section assigned to a CGL volunteer • Identify kernel components – satisfied or gap • Identify userland components – is it maintained or in distros • Tim Anderson to consolidate responses • Review and response to SCOPE Gaps is underway • Sent to LF Technical Advisory Board • Jonathan Corbet initial review - very positive feedback • CGL WG analysis underway • Is it a gap? If no, point to PoC or OpenSource • Tim Anderson - Consolidation of CGL members review • Wiki page will be setup
