WHAT IS WELL-BEING • Popular use of the term ‘well-being’ usually relates to health. • Philosophical use is broader, but related, and amounts to the notion of how well a person's life is going for that person. What is an anxiety disorder? An anxiety disorder differs from normal stress and anxiety as it is: • more severe • more persistent and long lasting • more likely to interfere with work or relationships According to a UK study, 1 in 10 adults attending their GP experiences symptoms of anxiety (King M, Nazareth I, Levy G, Walker C, Morris R, Weich S et al.
