  4. Exercise A Fill in each blank in the paragraph below with an appropriate word from Word List A. Use each word only once. Claire loved the cartoon about Sammy the [1] _____________________. In it, Sammy sails his boat out onto the [2] _____________________. All of a sudden, he hears a huge [3] _____________________. It is the sound of a giant whale dropping its tail into the water. Sammy tries to [4] _____________________ from the whale. For a while, he is able. He keeps his boat [5] _____________________ smoothly across the water, a few feet in front of the whale’s open mouth.
