Increase and improve interdisciplinary research collaboration within and between Chalmers and Göteborg University, so that more researchers will find new approaches and create new/deepen cooperation to contribute to sustainable development.
Enhance education cooperation within, and between, Chalmers and University of Gothenburg, by increasing the elements of environment and sustainable development in undergraduate and graduate education.
Increase and improve Chalmers and University of Gothenburg's strategic interaction with external stakeholders to utilize and generate knowledge about environment and sustainable development.

Focali – Forest, climate & livelihood research network A Swedish multidisciplinary research network focusing on forest/bio-energy, climate change and livelihood issues.
Sida’s Helpdesk for Environment and Climate Change Assists Sida in integrating environmental perspectives into Swedish development cooperation. In cooperation with Swedish University of Agriculture Sciences (SLU). About 220 assignments/year.
Swedish Life Cycle Center A center of excellence for the advance of life cycle thinking in industry and other parts of society. Research, implementation, communication and exchange of experience on life cycle management.
GAME – Göteborg Action for Management of the Environment A collaborative project in West Sweden bringing partners and stakeholders together from research, business sector and regional authorities. Sustainable development is the common denominator for all activities within the GAME network.
GAC – Gothenburg Air and Climate Centre A centre for activities in atmospheric science in the Göteborg region. The objective of the centre is to coordinate and strengthen the existing atmospheric research resources and activities in the region.
KNEG – Climate Neutral Freight Transportation A joint initiative by companies, researchers, organisations and public authorities to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from Sweden’s goods transport industry.
SDSN Northern Europe Sustainable Development Solutions Network – SDSN is a network initiated by UN. SDSN Northern Europé gathers the regions’ academic institutions to promote scaling-up of science based solutions to accelerate the implementation of the UN Agenda 2030.
WE – Work and Employment Research Centre The purpose of WE is to promote and support research, education, innovation and utilization in the field of sustainable work and employment.
