Phase B1 • 1st P/L Meeting has been on 06./07.05.2014 • Bring P/L consortium together • Start to resume P/L teams • Phase B1 KO is scheduled for 16./17.07.2014 • Official Start of Phase B1 • All work packages are already defined • Tasks to be done between KO and 2nd P/L Consortium Meeting will be defined • 2nd P/L Meeting proposed Fall 2014 • All specifications and belonging annotations/supplements are available as basis for the B1 development work
Overview of major Phase B1 Deliverables • * drafts to be prepared by KT • Specified deliverables defined in the List of Deliverables, which may include Camera Reports (design, budgets, performance, straylight, thermal, structural, risk assessment), MAIV plan, Management Plan, mathematical models
Communication between TOU team and KT • List of all deliverables to be defined and finalised by 2nd P/L Meeting • PMs to be held at TOU site or by Webex. Required documents and Progress Reports including status of AIs to be delivered at least five working days before the meeting • Regular bi-weekly telecons between TOU lead team and KT: • brief discussion of working progress, identified problems, needed inputs etc • the traceability of single requirements and interface management • Meeting when necessary with other Camera/Payload/PLATO teams by Webex (organised by KT). For critical topics, like I/F discussions, face to face meeting are preferable
Payload Camera Subsystem Status Summary: Goals Phase B1 Goals Phase B1: To achieve a sufficient level of technical maturity to ensure a successful SRR. • system requirements for the selected architectures successfully validated • system requirements derived • confidence on the readiness levels of various technologies. • consolidating the requirements on system and subsystem level and their traceability • consolidating internal interfaces, assessing requirements for external interfaces • consolidating performance models • consolidating and defining operational modes of the payload and its various subsystems and components. • validating the set of system and subsystem requirements • Establish a verification strategy consistent with programmatic limitations and required scientific value. • Develop technology maturation programs in order to achieve the required TRL levels at SRR
Telescope Optical Unit (TOU) Status Summary: • Team?Several Institutions (INAF, Univ. Bern, Stockolm Obs., Univ. Firenze) + Industrial Partners (Selex , Medialario-Sagem, Seso, RUAG, APCO Technologies) led by INAF (Interface to Camera team) • Current Status? • Optical Design + options available • Breadboard/Prototypes: TOU AIV procedure already performed(TOU Optical and Thermal Performance) • Further Breadboard with AIV and thermal behavior identifiedAIV procedures under development with serial production in mind • Next Steps? • Answer MEMO questions
