  1. Opportunities for Academic Public Health Division of Primary Care and Public Health Brighton and Sussex Medical School UCL Institute of Epidemiology and Healthcare Academic Public Health Open Day, 19 September 2012

  2. BSMS is an established training location for academic public health training. The placement is particularly suitable for public health trainees interested in improving their teaching skills (medical and postgraduate students); epidemiology/ PH curriculum and teaching material development; research with an objective to present at scientific meetings and publication in peer-reviewed journals. The placement is offered in collaboration with the Public Health Directorate, NHS Brighton & Hove.

  3. Length of placement: about 6-18 months. Apply 3-6 months before your placement start date. It is preferable that trainees have passed MFPH Part A exam before starting the placement.

  4. Research opportunities • Epidemiology / public health • Health Service • Evaluation of new technologies in Primary Care • Asthma and allergies • Electronic patient records • Sexually transmitted infections
