SAT & ACT Scores • SAT & ACT scores are figured every year for graduating seniors who tested any time during their high school years. • If a student took the test more than once, the most recent score is used. • Students are counted only once no matter how often they tested. • Results are preliminary and the final AEIS report to be published in December 2006 may vary slightly.

SAT&ACT Tested and Met Standard 2005 For the class of 2005, the total graduating senior cohort is pulled from PEIMS, excluding Special Ed. The goal for Percent Tested on either test is 70% while the goal for Percent Met Standard on either test is 40%.
SAT and ACT Summary • SAISD once again tested 63% of seniors with either the SAT or ACT. • SAISD students increased SAT Math and Verbal Mean Scores by a large margin. The composite mean score improved by 7 points and the math score improved by 12 points. • The State and Nation showed no increase in Verbal Mean Scores, and only minor improvements in Math Mean Scores • The average ACT composite score increased slightly while the State and Nation remained at the same levels. Comparing the number of students taking the ACT in 2004 and 2005, representation went up by 13%.
