  3. Existing Space/Problems • Current space is not large enough to support growing enrollment • Current technology is quickly becoming obsolete • Scheduling Conflicts with other departments • Photos

  4. Needs Assessment • A Questionnaire was distributed to Graduate Students and Faculty • More Individual Space for each student • Comfortable seating • Adaptability and mobility key feature • (moveable desks and chairs) • Casual seating area for students desirable

  5. Needs Assessment(Technology) • Accessibility to power supply for individual student laptops • Mediasite Recorder for recording of lectures • Document Camera (for complex medical diagrams) • Students preferred the use of smartboard

  8. Project Proposal • Revise existing (non-utilized) Skills Lab into state-of-the videoconferencing room • Multi-use educational/conference room • Room to be utilized by other departments including Public Health Sciences • Room to be supported by hospital multimedia

Key Features • Large Plasma Display Monitors • Moveable seating and tables to permit multiple classroom or meeting configurations • Ceiling Mounted microphones • Integrated Crestron system with touch screen panel • Informal seating area to promote collaboration with students and/or faculty • Keep existing cabinetry for storage
