  4. The Culinary Institute of America Requirements: 6 months of hands-on experience in a kitchen and a passing score on the school’s COMPASS assessment test Tuition & Fees: $24,000-$27,000 per year Financial Aid: ACG Grants, PLUS Loans, and Federal Work Study

  5. Timeline • Next year I plan to start college • Within 2 years I should have my associates degree • Then, in 4 years I should have my bachelors degree
