  4. Shelter In place Stay indoors. If outdoors, go to the nearest building and take cover. Close all doors and windows. Lower the blinds and stay away from windows. Do not leave the building until you receive official notification that the danger has passed.

  5. Evacuation procedures exit away from the potential danger. Do not use the elevators. close doors and check restrooms. Assist disabled persons. quickly proceed to the first floor and exit.

  6. Active shooter • Call san jacinto police 281-476-9128 or dial 5555 from any campus phone • San jacinto’s recommended actions: Run, hide, or fight. • run: get as far away as possible; can go off-campus to a neighboring business if needed • hide: lock the door, turn out the lights, close the blinds, stay quiet, & Keep out of sight (hiding is the same as a ccisd lockdown) • fight: attempting to overcome an armed subject with force is always a last resort • There could be more than one shooter • Wait for the “All CLEAR” from uniformed law enforcement official

  7. Medical emergencies • Evaluate the situation • Call san jacinto police 281-476-9128 or dial 5555 from any campus phone • If victim has no pulse, start CPR: Push hard and fast on the middle of the chest. Push at least 2 inches deep. Push at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute.

  8. Fire or explosion • If you see a fire, activate the closest fire alarm pull station • Evacuate immediately • Stay near the floor where the air is less toxic • If trapped inside and a window is available, put a piece of clothing in the window as a marker for fire rescue crews

  9.   11. Reunification plan San jacinto college will use the PE gymnasium as the reunification site if an emergency prevents the school day from continuing. Parent/guardian must show id to pick up a clear horizons student.
