What is “Oral History”? *Teaching method becoming more popular in many European countries in subjects like history, geography, civil education etc. *Students are asked to bring the family stories and explore the local community, to find resources and information from witnesses of historical events.

  3. TRANING SEMINAR IN TIRANA 19-22 MAY 2005 • The Aim: To present the method and to show different ways of using it in the classroom. To share practical experience between participants.

  4. PARTICIPANTS IN TIRANA • Teachers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro and Slovenia.

  5. TRANING SEMINAR IN TIRANA 19-22 MAY 2005 • RESULTS: Teachers from the seminar prepare classes, using the oral history method, that was presented during the seminar in Tirana.

  12. OUR PROGRAM: • History of the coffee and coffee-house. • “The World Café” Method. • “Oral History” Method. • How to prepare interview? • The Rally. There so many stories….

  13. RESULTS: • 40 HISTORY TEACHERS IN BULGARIA ARE EDUCATED IN ORAL HISTORY, AS A HISTORY METHOD.
