Units of Study • The Number System • Apply and extend the previous understandings of operations with fractions to add, subtract, multiply, and divide rational numbers • Expressions and Equations • Use properties of operations to generate equivalent expressions • Solve real-life and mathematical problems using numerical and algebraic expressions and equations • Ratios & Proportional Relationships • Analyze proportional relationships and use them to solve real-world and mathematical problems • Statistics & Probability • Use random sampling to draw inferences about a population • Draw informal comparative inferences about two populations • Investigate chance processes and develop, use, and evaluate probability models • Geometry Two Dimensional Figures • Draw, construct, and describe geometrical figures and describe the relationship between them • Solve real-life and mathematical problems involving angle measure, area, surface area, and volume

Organization • Expanding Folder • Composition Notebook for class notes • Math Notes Notebook in class on front bulletin board • Pencils only should be used for math • Class File
Weekly Math • Assigned on Monday and due the following Monday • Will drastically effect a students overall average if incomplete or missing.
Make Up Work • If a student is absent it is THEIR responsibility to make up any work they missed- this includes homework, notes, quizzes, and tests • Students have two days to complete an assignment for every one day they were absent • Notes can be found in Mrs. Ko’s ISNon the backbulletin board
Homework • Assigned almost every night • Checked for completion, only graded for accuracy occasionally • No homework will be accepted in pen • Homework is not accepted late • Each student begins every six weeks with a 100 homework average, each missing or incomplete assignment deducts points from the overall homework grade.
