16. Naturalism Universe Design Interpretation • The emergence of the complex structures capable of supporting intelligent observers seems to be very fragile. The laws of nature form a system that is extremely fine-tuned. As recent advances in cosmology suggest, the laws of gravity and quantum theory allow universes to appear spontaneously from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist. Stephen Hawking

Importance • The Christian Worldview is not in conflict with observable facts • Only the Christian Worldview has a justification for “intelligent observers” to do science. • And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
