Need: Ability to Manage to Divisions beneath Departments Representative Example: Problem Statement Central systems do not support division-level tracking: Divisions are represented by 9-digit org codes HEPPS Home Dept Org Code is provided at the 7-digit level (department-level) School of Medicine Department of Medicine Allergy & Infectious Diseases Cardiology Dermatology Emergency Medicine ….Others

  4. Solution for Department of Medicine • Utilize Appointment Budget Number field in HEPPS • Allows the budget number to be associated with the full (10-digit) org code • Establish departmental budget numbers, one for each division • Dept of Medicine will set up new budget numbers in July, in tandem with new appointment set up • No charges are posted to these accounts • Automates current, manual practice

Division Process Opt-In • Division handling is available on an opt-in basis • A list of departments that wish to manage FECs at the division level will be maintained by eFECS • eFECS system will list FECs @ the division level for these departments only • Astra span of control will link administrators to their division list
