HOW CAN WE HELP? • Communicating with parents – involve them right from the beginning by asking them their hopes and aspiration for their child/ren. • Use Saskatoon Open Door Society settlement workers and its programs; Pakistan Canada Cultural Association of Canada and the Ahmadiyya Community in Saskatoon • Cultural responsiveness in teaching – equitable outcome • Every case is unique – empathy, sensitivity, flexibility
