  6. Asthma Needs Assessment • Would a resource desk designed specifically for asthmatic children benefit the community at BMC?

  7. Summer Polytech Institute • Bi-weekly lectures and discussions on Public Health issues. • Our most famous speaker: Economist David Cutler.

  8. Reflection Sessions • Weekly meetings with our Program Coordinators to discuss difficult issues • Program development • Statistical analysis

  9. Project HEALTH and the Hepburn Center • The focus of the women’s resource center is on women and their families. • Empower women by giving them the resources to succeed and grow healthy children. • Targeting women in poverty

  10. Project Health and my Career Exposure To: • A clinical setting • Public Health and Social Work • The Massachusetts Healthcare system. • The US healthcare system in comparison to other nations. • Issues of poverty and health in urban environments.
