  1. The New York Transit Museum This museum is located in Brooklyn, New York, and its exhibits are all about the history of New York City public transportation: trolleys, buses, trains, subways. When we travel on the New York City subways, we are often in such a rush we never notice the beautiful art in the stations. Many of the station signs are actually made of small colorful tiles arranged to form designs and patterns – these are called mosaics. For our next project we will make mosaic pictures that we would like to see in a subway station. Here are some mosaic pictures from the New York City subways – they may help you get some ideas.
